Expanding Beyond Tractors

Acre is taking a side-step away from tractors and into the robotics deployment space more generally. I don't just want autonomous tractors roaming this Earth! Sadly (but serendipitously), there are still many problems to be solved or at least attempted.

So, I'm hoping for some part-time interns to help me out. Ideally, geographically speaking, you are a Vanderbilt engineering student. Though, I may consider other possibilities. The role is fairly generalist, but I am looking for a few domain experts in the following territories:

What We're Looking For

• You have a decent robotics background: good with hardware, ROS, CAD (we use OnShape!), prototype very quickly, experience with simulation methodologies, and general knowledge of robotics tech stacks.
• Strong SWE fundamentals. Very interested in people who are passionate about VLMs/VLAs.
• Experience with PyTorch
• Have hardware projects / adjacently related projects to showcase

This is meant to be a fairly committed role; I'm not interested in low conviction. Target pay is $25/hour. The office is located right by campus.
